Furniture Design

T15 is a multi-purpose table that can only be assembled under tension. Its lightweight frame and split table top make it easy to transport and store. The T15 was created in collaboration with Matthias Käsler during the SS 2014. The structural design and simple aesthetic give the table an interesting appearance. The colored assembly aids and wedges support both stability and assembly, while also adding a pop of color.

Hang Pot //

Hanging planters

I designed 'Hang Pots' for my former team office in Mainz to improve our well-being and the indoor climate. 'Hang Pots' are self-made planters that can be adjusted in height by means of a rope system.

The office was located in the attic and was characterized by old sturdy ceiling beams. To make better use of this special architecture, I came up with a hanging system called "Hang Pots". This system emphasized the existing spatial structure in a space-saving way. The plant boxes are made of anchored and glued boat construction plywood, which is particularly water-resistant and oiled. The plants are additionally planted in plastic pots. Each "Hang Pot" hangs on four climbing ropes that are attached to four eye plates on the box. This system ensures a stable position for the plants and enables good care. The four suspension points distribute the weight, reducing the load and increasing safety. The ropes are guided through pulleys. In addition, the pulleys enable a kind of pulley function and thus facilitate the lifting and lowering of the boxes. The boxes are secured by securing the rope to a so-called cleat. When designing the "Hang Pots", I took inspiration from a sailboat.

Furniture Design

Regal V can be used as both a wall-mounted and free-standing shelf. The special feature of V is its lightweight ribbed construction which can be easily assembled by the consumer without any further tools.​

Due to its sophisticated tension principle, the shelf only requires a few components and thus is very space-saving and easy to transport.​

Regal V is easily expandable with just a few modifications. Its unique structure gives the shelf an interesting appearance, making V not only practical but also a unique element of any space.​

Hocker utopie //

From idea to object

In the summer of 2024, I had the opportunity to collaborate with a friend who is a teacher at Templin Gymnasium to organize a project week for students in grades 7-10. The focus of the project was the planning, execution, and guidance of artistic work related to furniture construction, from idea to finished product. We called the project "Hocker Utopie" and created conceptual stools from simple roof battens. It was important to us to work as resource-efficiently as possible and to ensure that the students were actively involved in the practical implementation, gaining valuable knowledge in the areas of material, construction, and craftsmanship.
